My wife does not have the flu. She has strep. So does my 3-year-old. And I was wrong: Argosy will indeed dock her test score 20% for having to take it on a day other than today.

I wish my wife would have said, "Fine. I'll come in and take the test. And I'll cough in your face as a symbol of how glad I am to be there."
That would have made me happy.

-20%? That's a joke. I'm sure you had a similar protocol at law school as I do at the U. I've yet to find one professor who has not been compassionate for at least one absence.
The only thing I figure is that they have rules written for 18 year-olds at this school. The ones who might skip class just from being tired. Her only remedy is to petition at semester's end. As you said, it's a joke.
